Jongeling Numismatic Consultancy
Founder and owner Hans Jongeling is a qualified historian (University of Utrecht) and has over 10 years of experience in the world of coins, medals and bank notes.
Hans’ past work experience includes the auction house Sotheby’s and the former Money Museum. From 2011 to early 2016, he was Head of the Numismatic Department of the Royal Dutch Mint in Utrecht. Hans is one of only three registered TMV valuers (Federation of Valuers, Brokers and Auctioneers) in the Netherlands in the field of numismatics and has proven his very thorough theoretical and practical knowledge. He is also numismatic advisor for the Dutch Police Academy.
His many contacts both within and outside of the Netherlands enable Hans Jongeling to offer you a broad spectrum of services and always find an appropriate solution for you.
Jongeling Numismatic Consultancy provides a wide variety of services in the field of numismatics. Both individuals and business clients are welcome. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced collector, a coin dealer or a museum with a numismatic collection, we would be glad to be of service! Contact us free of obligations by e-mail or telephone.
Jongeling Numismatic Consultancy attends all major Dutch and European auctions. Work or other activities do not always allow a collector or agency to assess coins or to submit bids at an auction in person. Often photos online do not suffice and online bidding takes time. You can leave all of this in our hands for an attractive price.
Are you a coin dealer, auctioneer or museum and do you lack expertise in the area of coins, medals or bank notes? Hans Jongeling can help you with, among other things, identifying, cataloguing and taking photographs. This can be done remotely based on digital photographs, or on location.
Owner Hans Jongeling is a certified valuer in numismatics with the Federation of Valuers, Brokers and Aucioneers (TMV, Taxateurs, Makelaars en Veilinghouders). He gives advice on drawing up valuation reports for insurance purposes, for example, or for consensual division of inheritance. The valuation reports are legitimate for almost all insurance companies and drawn up in accordance with Article 7:960 of the Dutch Civil Code.
Its years of experience and many contacts in the numismatic world enable Jongeling Numismatic Consultancy to find the best purchaser for your coin collection. Make an appointment by e-mail or telephone free of obligations.
With very low interest rates and economic uncertainty, it might be wise to invest part of your assets in silver or gold. This could be in the form of coins or bullion, or in index-linked rare coins.
Hans Jongeling is a respected member of the following organisations:
